1. Information We Collect

When you use StyleMyFade, we collect the following information:

• Photos you upload: Selfies or images you submit for AI analysis. These are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 7 days.
• AI-generated data: Analysis results (face shape, hair type, recommendations) and virtual try-on images created from your photos.
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views and device type to improve the service.

We do not require an account. You can use StyleMyFade without providing your name, email address, or creating a login.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Analyze your uploaded photo using AI to generate hairstyle recommendations
• Generate virtual try-on images showing you with recommended hairstyles
• Process payments for analysis sessions and try-on credits
• Deliver your results via a unique, private URL
• Improve our AI models and service quality (using anonymized, aggregated data only)

3. Third-Party Services

Your data is shared with the following third-party services to provide our core functionality:

• OpenAI — Your uploaded photo is sent to OpenAI's API for facial and hair analysis. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Replicate — Your photo is sent to Replicate's API for virtual try-on image generation. Subject to Replicate's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Handles all payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Hosts our database and file storage. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your photos and all associated data (analysis results, try-on images) are automatically deleted 7 days after your session is created. We do not keep your photos indefinitely.

After deletion, your unique results URL will no longer work. If you want to keep your results, download them before the 7-day window expires.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• Photos are stored in private storage buckets (not publicly accessible)
• Access to photos uses time-limited signed URLs
• All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• Database access uses service-role authentication (not client-side)
• Results are accessible only via unique, unguessable URLs

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your session
• Deletion: Request immediate deletion of your data before the automatic 7-day expiry
• Portability: Download your analysis results and try-on images during the 7-day window

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for basic site functionality only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or sell your data to third parties.

8. Children's Privacy

StyleMyFade is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has used our service, contact us and we will delete the associated data.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, through our third-party service providers (OpenAI, Replicate, Stripe). By using StyleMyFade, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
